  Whom can I pay through Moneyline Express?
You can pay ANYONE in the United States from the next-door neighbor, to the utility company, to the bank, and even a child in college across the country.

What types of bill cannot be paid through Moneyline Express?
Federal, state, and local taxes, alimony, child support payments, and other court directed or government payments, fines and penalties may not be paid through Moneyline Express.

Is there a fee for using Moneyline Express?
No, Moneyline Express is available free of charge to all Farmers Bank customers.

Do I need to have a special account to use Moneyline Express?
All you need to use Moneyline Express is a checking account at Farmers Bank. Moneyline Express cannot be tied to a savings account.

How do I sign up for Moneyline Express?
Simply complete a Moneyline Express application and return it to the bank or mail it to us at P.O. Box 7980, Spencer, IA 51301-7980. An application can be found online or you may pick one up at the bank. After you have returned your application you will receive a password and ID via the U.S. mail in approximately one week.

How does Moneyline Express work?
Your payments are electronically transferred from your Farmers Bank account to your payee's account through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. If your payee is not set up for electronic transfers, a check is sent via the U.S. Mail.

What are the advantages of using Moneyline Express rather than automatic payments for recurring bills?
Moneyline Express provides customers with the same conveniences as the automatic system, including the ability to set up and maintain recurring monthly payments. Moneyline Express, however, has one great advantage over the automatic payment: you control the payment amount and date. In addition, with Moneyline Express you can set up the payment system from the comfort and convenience of your home or office whereas with automatic payments you must contact the creditor to establish or makes changes to an automatic payment schedule. Moneyline Express is also a convenient option for paying companies that do not accept automatic payments.

Are there any special requirements to use Moneyline Express?
Moneyline Express doesn't require any special software and is available to any NetTeller Online Banking customer. Simply fill out and return the Moneyline Express Application and you'll receive a Personal ID and password within one week.

Can a business use Moneyline Express?
Yes. Moneyline Express is available to both businesses and individuals.

Can I choose my own Personal ID and Password?
When you sign up for Moneyline Express you will automatically be assigned a Personal ID and password. Although you are not able to change your Personal ID, you do have the option of changing your password.

When will the money be taken out of my account?
The money will be withdrawn from your account approximately two business days after the payment date you have set.

What if I do not have enough money in my account?
The payment will still be debited, and your account will be overdrawn. You are subject to overdraft fees, and the payment may be returned. Should the item be returned, a hold may be placed on your bill payment service.

What happens if I have a scheduled payment that falls over a weekend or holiday?
Scheduled payments that fall over the weekend will be processed on Friday evening. Any new payments that are scheduled over the weekend, for the current weekend, will be processed on Sunday night. Holiday processing is done the day following the holiday.

Can I get a copy of a canceled check?
You can request a copy through Bill Payment Service Support Center at (866) 211-1502. There is a fee associated with this request.

How long is history retained in the "View Payment History" section?
Payment history records are kept for one year.

What happens if I lose or forget my ID or PIN?
If you lose/forget your ID or PIN, you may call Bill Payment Service Support Center at (866) 211-1502 and with proper verification, your ID or a temporary PIN will be given to you.

When and how are payments processed?
Scheduled payments are processed Sunday through Friday 10:00 pm Central Time. On Sunday through Thursday, all payments scheduled for the current day, and any previous day will be processed. On Friday any payments for the current day, any previous day, and any for the next two days will be processed. The payments processed on Friday night will cover any payments that were scheduled and happened to fall on a weekend date. Payments processed on Sunday will catch any new payments that may have been scheduled over the weekend.

How far in advance should I set up a payment to insure it is paid on time?
Check payments should be scheduled 5 business days in advance of when you want the payment to actually be posted at the payee. Electronic payments should be made 3 business days in advance of when you want the payment to be posted at the payee. You may want to set up a payment to yourself so you can see how the system works.

How do I know if a payee is electronic or check?
Once you have set up the payee/merchant, then you can look at the "View Payee" screen and you will see a field that will tell you if the payee is electronic or check.

Are there minimum and maximum payment amounts?
Yes, the minimum is $.01. The maximum amount is $9,999.99.

How late in the day can I enter, edit or delete a payment?
You may enter, edit, or delete payments scheduled Monday through Saturday up until 10:00pm CST the day before the scheduled payment date you set. Payments scheduled for a Sunday can be entered, edited, or deleted up to 10:00pm CST Friday night.

Can I postdate a single payment?
Yes, just set the payment date for any date in the future. Single payments are actually set up into two categories: current and future payments, which allow the user to schedule payments in the future or for the current date.

Can I postdate recurring payments?
If a monthly recurring payment is set up to be paid on the 15th and the current date is November 12th, a payment will be scheduled for the month of November and set up to occur the 15th of every month until the end date is reached. However, if the payment is set to be paid on the 15th and the current date is November 16th the first payment will occur on December 15th.

Can I stop a payment?
Yes. You will need to call Bill Payment Service Support Center at (866) 211-1502. Payments processed by check can be stopped. Payments processed electronically cannot be stopped.

What payment frequencies are available?
You can set up payments in any of the following frequencies.

  • One Time
  • Weekly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Semi-monthly
  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Semi-annually
  • Annually

How many payees may I have set up?
There is no limit to the number of payees you can set up through Moneyline Express.
