COMING IN 2019

Celebrate our Past - February 14
We do need your reservation so we know how many pies to order!

You are invited to join us at this come-and-go event at the Clay County Heritage Center (7 Grand Avenue) from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm for cherry pie a la mode and coffee.  (We will have something for those on special diets, just let us know when you make your reservation.)  This is an amazing facility that Spencer is lucky to have.  There will be 3 exhibits going on at this time -

1.  Great Spencer Fire of 1931,
2.  History of the Settlement of Clay County,
3.  Boys in Blue: The Grand Army of the Republic
With President Lincoln and President Washington's birthday in February and President Washington chopping down a cherry tree, we thought this event would fit appropriately now.  Be sure to get your reservation in to us by February 8.
American Queen River Cruise - March 24 - April 2
It won't be long until we're cruising down the Mississippi from New Orleans to Memphis on the American Queen riverboat.  This will be an adventure of a lifetime!  At this time, the boat is full, but if you're interested, please let us know and we'll get you a complete itinerary and put your name on the waiting list.  There have been some cancellations in the past, so you never know!

Righteous Brothers - Sun., March 31
"You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", "Rock and Roll Heaven", "The Time of My Life", "Soul and Inspiration", "Unchained Melody",
and the list goes on.  Just reading the titles has you humming and remembering these songs from yesteryear.  We've planned a trip to the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City to see Bill Medley and Bucky Heard in person to relive these wonderful songs.  An included evening meal at Clyde's Pub and Grille will be enjoyed before going to the Orpheum Theatre.  Cost is $108 per person and is due in full at time of sign up.  Cost includes:  motor coach, evening meal, show ticket , drivers tip, and Farmers Bank escort.  Deadline date is March 11.  We depart from Spencer's Wal-Mart parking lot at 2:45 pm and return at approximately 12:45 am.

The Magnolia Trail and More - April 1 - 7
Central Bank has invited Farmers Bank to share in this motor coach trip and we are thrilled to offer it to you!  It will be a fun-filled tour to Waco, Texas, to see the sites featured on the HGTV Show "Fixer Upper" with Chip and Joanna Ganes!  In addition, you will be making stops at other very interesting places.
On day one the motor coach will have a full day of travel to Emporia, Kansas, where a surprise dinner is planned for you.
Day two finds us making a stop in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.  Located in rural Oklahoma, this is home of Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.  There is free time here at the PW Mercantile, along with a delicious three-course, home-cooked lunch.  With full tummies, we continue to the outskirts of Fort Worth, Texas, for the night.
The next two full days are planned to enjoy Waco.  Springtime should be comfortable weather and hopefully, we'll see lots of native wildflowers, including the Texas Blubonnets.  Magnolia Market and the Silos, here we come!  Browse at the market, visit the bakery, check out the garden, and shop the Magnolia Seed Company.  The possibilities here are endless.
Day five finds us saying goodbye to Waco and starting our return trip.  Your evening lodging is at the Best Western Plus in Bentonville, Arkansas.
That's only a sample of what this exciting trip offers.  If you are interested and would like more information, please give us a call or stop by for a complete itinerary.  Cost for this 7-day motor coach tour is $1,289 per person based on double occupancy.  A deposit of $100 per person is due at time of sign-up with your completed reservation form.  Final payment is due on or before February 20.

Twins vs Rays - Thursday, June 27
Come along and join the fun as we watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field.  Thought this game would be fun watching the Ray's former coach, Rocco Baldelli, now coaching the Twins.  No matter which team you cheer for, it's always fun and we have great seats!  Cost is $110.00 per person with payment in full due at time of registration.  Cost includes: motor coach, game ticket, driver tip, and Farmers Bank escort.  This trip is open to non-members.  Deadline is June 3.

La Crosse, WI Getaway - August 21 - August 23
Come and explore this beautiful riverfront city and surrounding villages.  It's a perfect time to visit with gardens fully developed and the rush of summer vacation time behind us.  Three days of sites, scenery, and fun!

Our first day will find us traveling to La Crosse, WI.  Upon arrival, we have included lunch with waterfront views of the Mississippi River.  After lunch we start our touring of the area with Granddads Bluff, historic neighborhoods, Dahl Auto Museum, and Pleasoning Seasoning.  Check in to our hotel with a little leisure time before boarding the La Crosse Queen for a relaxing dinner cruise.

The next morning, we drive out into the scenic coulee area.  First stop is the Village Shops at Down a Country Road, where we will meet our guide.  We'll be making stops at Amish businesses.  A tasty lunch will be served to us at the Historic Westby House, a quaint bed and breakfast.  Free time will be enjoyed downtown to explore Dregne's, a Scandinavian shop.  Pasture Pride is the next stop where you will see production of Wisconsin cheese and enjoy samples.

After enjoying a touch of Scandinavia, our next stop is in Norskedalen, to get a feel for the Norwegian immigrants.  A traditional Norwegian dinner will be enjoyed here, along with some ethnic entertainment.  After a full day of touring, it's time to rest for another full day.

Head south of La Crosse, to the Shine of our Lady of Guadalupe.  The grounds are located on over 100 wooded acres and provide a place of peace and serenity.  You will see the Votive Candle Chapel and have a narrated tour of the majestic Shrine Church.  You will have the opportunity to stroll through the devotional gardens and gift shop.  Lunch is included at the cafe here.

On the route home, we will leave I-90 and travel to the 4 Daughters Vineyard for wine tasting and appetizers before continuing to our respective home.

Cost is $554 per person based on double occupancy and covers everything but souvenirs.  A deposit of $100 per person is due at time of reservation.  Final payment is due on or before July 5.
