Dave Woodcock's Retirement Party - June 14
Please join us at the Clay County Regional Events Center to honor and celebrate Dave's retirement from Farmers Bank.  Dave spent a total of 46 years in the banking industry, of which 34 years were at Farmers Bank in various positions, including his latest as the President.  We all want to wish him well in his next chapter of life.  Please join us to help celebrate him at this Come-and-Go event from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  
Shred Day - Thursday, June 20
Secure Shred Solutions, LLC will be in Farmers Bank parking lot from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm to do your shredding for you.  There is a 4 bag/box maximum.  We are also collecting non-perishable food item(s) to be donated to  Upper Des Moines Opportunity.  
The Marvelous Wonderettes - June 21 
Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy are at their 1958 Springfield High School prom.  Learn about their lives and loves, as the girls serenade us with classic '50s hits including "Lollipop", "Dream Lover", "Stupid Cupid", "Lipstick on Your Collar", and much more.
Act two reunites the gals at their 10-year class reunion.  Learn about the highs and lows the girls have experienced and they are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together.
We depart at 3:30 pm from the north end of Wal-Mart parking lot and travel to Pipestone, MN, with approximate return to Spencer around 11:30 pm.
Cost is $66.50 per person and is due in full at time of sign-up.  Cost includes:  motor coach transportation, evening meal at Pizza Ranch, show ticket, driver tip, and Farmers Bank escort.  Deadline date is June 6.  
Twins vs Rays - Thursday, June 27
Come along and join the fun as we watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field.  Thought this game would be fun watching the Ray's former coach, Rocco Baldelli, now coaching the Twins.  No matter which team you cheer for, it's always fun and we have great seats!  Cost is $110.00 per person with payment in full due at time of registration.  Cost includes: motor coach, game ticket, driver tip, and Farmers Bank escort.  This trip is open to non-members.  Deadline is June 3.
Americana Summer Celebration - July 9
What a great time to celebrate the freedoms that we enjoy every day be going to see the Brown's in Le Mars.  Their music will be celebrating Faith, Family, and Home!  The Brown family will share their beautiful family harmony and fiddlin' favorites.
Cost is $75 per person and is due in full at time of sign-up.  Cost includes:  motor coach transportation, buffet lunch, tour, show ticket, driver tip, and of course, an ice cream treat.  We will depart from Wal-Mart at 9:15 am and return to Spencer at approximately 6:00 pm.  Deadline date is July 5.   
Arts on Grand Retrospective - July 12
Arts on Grand is 30!  Come take a walk down memory lane and learn about the history of the Arts in Spencer.  This event is sure to include some fun storytelling and nostalgic photomontages...Take some time thinking about how far we have come and help us envision the future of the arts for the next 30 years.  You will also be amazed at the many displays of art - painting, ceramics, and jewelry.  (They even have a gift shop!)
This is a Come-and-Go Event from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.  Please give us a call with your reservation for this event by Monday, July 8.  We'll be serving wine, meat, cheese, and crackers.   
 La Crosse, WI Getaway - August 21 - August 23
Come and explore this beautiful riverfront city and surrounding villages.  It's a perfect time to visit with gardens fully developed and the rush of summer vacation time behind us.  Three days of sites, scenery, and fun!
Our first day will find us traveling to La Crosse, WI.  Upon arrival, we have included lunch with waterfront views of the Mississippi River.  After lunch we start our touring of the area with Granddads Bluff, historic neighborhoods, Dahl Auto Museum, and Pleasoning Seasoning.  Check in to our hotel with a little leisure time before boarding the La Crosse Queen for a relaxing dinner cruise.
The next morning, we drive out into the scenic coulee area.  First stop is the Village Shops at Down a Country Road, where we will meet our guide.  We'll be making stops at Amish businesses.  A tasty lunch will be served to us at the Historic Westby House, a quaint bed and breakfast.  Free time will be enjoyed downtown to explore Dregne's, a Scandinavian shop.  Pasture Pride is the next stop where you will see production of Wisconsin cheese and enjoy samples.  
After enjoying a touch of Scandinavia, our next stop is in Norskedalen, to get a feel for the Norwegian immigrants.  A traditional Norwegian dinner will be enjoyed here, along with some ethnic entertainment.  After a full day of touring, it's time to rest for another full day.
Head south of La Crosse, to the Shine of our Lady of Guadalupe.  The grounds are located on over 100 wooded acres and provide a place of peace and serenity.  You will see the Votive Candle Chapel and have a narrated tour of the majestic Shrine Church.  You will have the opportunity to stroll through the devotional gardens and gift shop.  Lunch is included at the cafe here.
On the route home, we will leave I-90 and travel to the 4 Daughters Vineyard for wine tasting and appetizers before continuing to our respective home.  
Cost is $554 per person based on double occupancy and covers everything but souvenirs.  A deposit of $100 per person is due at time of reservation.  Final payment is due on or before July 5.  
New England and Cape Cod Autumn Foliage Adventure - October 6 - 13
This is a Northwest Iowa Bank Club trip,so space is limited.  The plan is to see and enjoy the beautiful fall colors of the Northeast, but Mother Nature holds the key!  The flight will take you directly from Minneapolis, MN, to Boston, MA.  A tour of Boston's historic Freedom Trail, Plymouth Rock, Cape Cod lobster-bake, Martha's Vineyard, tour of Rhode Island, travel the backroads of Vermont, ride on the railway to the top of New England's highest mountain, cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, visit Kennebunkport, are all included plus much, much more. Please give us a call or stop by  for more details. 
The Best of New York City - November 8 thru November 12 
We have been invited to share in this exciting trip to "The Big Apple".  
We fly to New York for an exciting time of sightseeing, tours, and Broadway shows.  There is some free time so that you can see another show or do some sightseeing.

"Hark! The Basement Ladies Sing" - November 15
Join your Adventure club friends as we travel to see the 8th production of Church Basement Ladies in "Hark, The Basement Ladies Sing".
It's December 1960, and members of this rural community have gathered around their reel-to-reel tape player to record a special Christmas greeting for one of their boys serving overseas.  Come watch as the story unfolds and sing along with them in their Christmas carols.
This performance is held at the Ames Center in Burnsville, MN.  Just to let you know, if you have traveled with us there before, they have redone their seating in the theater and it promises to be much more comfortable.
Cost is $105 per person and is due in full at time of sign-up.  Cost includes:  motor coach transportation, morning snack, lunch, show, driver tip, and Farmers Bank escort.  Deadline date is October 25.

Discover Ireland - June 4 thru 16, 2020

"A hundred thousand welcomes" to Ireland and beautiful Dublin airport by our driver/guide and begin our exciting adventure of the Emerald Isle.  We do have complete itineraries available if you are interested, just stop  by or give us a call. 
Cost is $5,899 per person based on double occupancy.  A $500 deposit per person is required with your registration.  Payment in full is due by January 30, 2020.  Inclusions are:  round-trip airport transfers, round-trip air to Dublin, private motorcoach while touring, 11 nights' accommodations, 20 meals, Tour Manager, admission to attractions on itinerary, taxes and gratuities for included services, and Travel Protection Plan Insurance.
