Farmers Trust and Savings Bank Appoints Mike Bryan, as the New President 
January 2019 - David Woodcock, retiring President, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Bryan as President of Farmers Trust and Savings Bank.
Bryan has served Farmers Bank in Ag Lending since 1994, with a promotion to Executive Vice President, Senior Lender in 2007. As the Senior Lender, he has been responsible for the bank’s overall commercial and ag lending. “I am eager to begin work at Farmers Bank as President. The changes in leadership represent an opportunity for the talented and diverse leaders in our company to build on Farmers Bank core strengths, which include an outstanding staff, great customers, and many opportunities for continued growth.” said Mike Bryan.
Bryan will oversee the banking operations, while assuming more of the day-to-day management and administrative duties of the overall bank. His focus will turn toward customer relations and satisfaction, overseeing the impact and development of new products and services for customers. This role will continue to ensure the core values of Farmers Bank are being acted out within the bank all while continuing to provide the same customer service people have come to expect over the last 100 years.
His vast banking and leadership experience, as well as serving on many boards and committees, will aid him in achieving the bank’s financial goals and objectives, and keep Farmers Bank at the forefront of the banking industry.
As a native of Spencer, IA, Bryan has twenty-seven years of experience in the banking industry. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Business from Iowa State University. In 2000, Bryan graduated from the School of Banking in Colorado. He and Jackie, his wife of 24 years, have 3 children Emily (20), Carly (19) and Austin (16) and they attend Hope Reformed Church.
Bryan is very active in the community including serving on several local boards and committees including: Clay County Fair: board member and Grandstand guest services superintendent, member of the Spencer School Foundation Board, he volunteers on many Spencer Community School functions including games, music and speech events. His past involvement includes serving as a board member and volunteer with the Spencer Tailtwister athletic boost club.

Along with Bryan’s new position, he will be surrounded by a new Executive Team, which consists of newly promoted, Kent Nelson, Executive Vice President/Senior Lender along with Bryan Harkin, Vice President/CFO and remaining on the team, Debbie Sundall, Senior Vice President. This team will provide a healthy blend of new ideas while maintaining the bank’s core values.
